 I agree with you on the bottom of the shell where the lines fade out. Without shading it's hard to say "okay this is where the ridges aren't as big and they start to be less obvious" - I'd imagine that it'd probably look better if I ever get around to shading this. I think it's the fact that there aren't any lines near the bottom (it's just solid pink) that draws attention. Thanks for pointing that out!  --  Are you a =beta tester? Join #devBUG now!   Yeah I figured the thumbnail quality would be dA related. It annoys me so much though because it totally misrepresents what is such an awesome artwork!

On closer inspection (fullview) I realised I was wonderfully deceived and a gorgeous, whimsical piece of art greeted me. The lining isn't the smoothest, however without the variations I feel it would definitely lack the almost playful child like character it brings to the artwork.
The cupcake case is impeccable in it's perspective and the icing and sprinkles carried out perfectly. My only real qualm is the bottom of the casing where the lines fade out. It demands more attention to the eye than it should and really doesn't make a great focal point.
The little dragon's expression is priceless! The kind of wide eyed, sugar high look you'd expect from a creature that seemingly has just consumed about twice it's own body weight in cakey sweetness. I just love it!
