My journal went and got dolled up

As of late ...


Holy mack! I finally got some CSS sorted! Well sort of. I basically took *Jamaal10's Orange CSS layout and completely defaced it beyond recognition to what it is now. But he doesn't seem to mind so it's all good.

I just turned 20 last Monday so I'm finding it a little weird coming to terms with no longer being a teenager. My lovely boy gifted me an extravagant set of soft chalk pastels in a wooden case. Oh my! How I love soft pastels. Good quality ones at that! My goal this year is to do more artworks than photoshoots, because really I don't do enough art. It's a damn shame and I want to change that.

Oh and following my search for the perfect corset (RE: my last post) I FOUND IT! It was a longline courtesan underbust corset from Meschantes.com to which a friend on LJ referred me. I was EXACTLY what I wanted so I snapped it up. You can sort of see it in my photo by Kate O'Brien but I promise there are many more to come, including pending images from Derek Smith.

Drea is a high-spirited bundle of petticoats, pearls and traditional style tattoos. She is currently working a reasonably miserable full time job to amass the funds required to study Fashion Design. Hampering her efforts is her fairly expensive addiction to purchasing vintage clothing, porcelain animals and pre 1960's Bambi paraphernalia. While she thoroughly enjoys pinup modeling, her dream is to become something along the lines of a commercial artist, if the occupation is anything like it was back in the day. Drea's artistic forte lies in oil paints and soft pastels.

Just a short note to thank you for the watch. It means a lot coming from someone who is both a model and an artist (especially since do both with passion and style).

Love ya work, my friend. Keep on doing what you are doing, and if you ever get tempted to push my usual style as a photographer, feel free to let me know. I'll poop my pants but know enough to understand that it would be good for me. (Actually, it might be good for you to get a bit of a shove out of your comfort zone as well.)

I was actually scratching my head because I thought I had dev watched you before, but I found out I was wrong. So I righted that :D

And hell sure, I love your stuff and I'm willing to give it a go. After next month things should free up and get a bit less hectic from me so we should try something out. You're right, I definitely need to try something new. In fact I'm itching for it.
